At the young age of 13 when most of us are still collecting figurines - JP Chin had started investing in motorcycles like Suzuki GT250 and Honda 125 to cars like Mitsubishi Galant and Nissan 130Y. Little did he know, the hobby would one day lead him to a museum of supercars and vintage cars. Here, we talk to TM Chin, JP Chin's son and JPM's Chief Operating Officer, on their plans for JPM Collection and Malaysia's car culture.
JPM Collection has grown from a hobby into a hub for motorsports enthusiasts. What else is there in the pipeline?
We are still collecting more cars, expanding on the area and branding. We have been active on our social media, JPM Collection [@ jpm_collectionmy], to build our branding as a car collector and as an education platform on buying cars as investment.
Recently, we ventured to more commercialised businesses, JV, with one of the top car wrap and detailing companies called Craftlab, and we have also taken the distributorship of Sparco Fashion in Southeast Asia.
