Jennifer Winget started her acting career very early; she was barely 12 years old. Her parents, particularly her mother, have been a robust support system for her. She concurs that she cannot do a thing with her mother! This mother's day, Jennifer Winget, a tremendously strong girl, shares her feelings for her mother and more in this space!
Since you always credit your mother for your start in this field. What message would you like to send her this mother's day?
Although both my parents worked, they were always hands-on in bringing up my brother and me. My mom would drop me off on the shoot, then go to work, and on her way back, she would either pick me up or stay with me till the shoot concluded for the day. Then, no matter how late it got that day, she would be back at work again the following day. So I have seen her work very hard for us, to see our dreams through, and all I can say is; and I know I should be saying it more often; that I love her to bits, and it is because of that love, grit and perseverance that I am where I am today. She has continued to be her humble self and is still a very hands-on mum, even to date, and I will admit that I cannot do a thing without her!
Before you entered this field, what was your take on the entertainment world? Did your thoughts meet reality?
Honestly, I think because I started that young, I didn't give it too much thought. Back then, I did my first film during my summer vacations and had to shoot with an elephant for two months. For a 12-year-old, that was the funniest experience compared to otherwise regular life.
