Alba Planas, known for her standout role in the series ‘Skam España’, now delves into the complexities of a historical character in her latest project, the film ‘Hildegart’, directed by Paula Ortiz. This film tells the life story of Hildegart Rodríguez, a key figure in the history of social and feminist thought in Spain in the 1930s, and represents a significant turn for Planas, who had never before portrayed a real person.
“From the moment I received the casting call, the story caught my attention immensely; I was not familiar with it and was surprised that most people around me were also unaware of it. I thought it was important that it be told and made known,” Alba tells us about her initial attraction to the project. The actress has dedicated considerable effort to researching the era and the writings of Hildegart to provide an authentic and respectful portrayal of the character.
