The future of Europe's royals is FEMALE!

King Charles III and William V will rule the roost in the UK for years to come. But Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Norway will one day have females on their thrones.

Our Royal Family has links to these dynasties – so there could be future potential brides in the mix for Princes George and Louis. Just imagine a wedding of two royal houses! Let’s meet the 21st-century queens-to-be…

SWEDEN

Crown Princess Victoria

There was a time when this 45-year-old was not heir apparent. Victoria is the eldest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, born in July 1977, but when her brother, Prince Carl Philip, came along in May 1979 he leapfrogged over her. However, in January 1980, a change to the Act of Succession to absolute primogeniture meant that she will one day rule – the fourth female monarch in Sweden’s history.

Victoria is very popular in her country and has been open about her struggles. Dyslexic, like her father and brother, she’s been honest about her eating disorders. In 2002, she said: ‘Now I’m feeling well and with the insights I’ve acquired through this I can hopefully help someone else.’ She’s also said to have prosopagnosia – face blindness – a disorder that makes it difficult to recognise faces.
