DIY Denim Pumpkins
JANNA ALLBRITTON, YELLOW PRAIRIE INTERIORS
"Call me crazy, but when I saw my hubby's old ripped jeans in the trash pile, I thought 'denim pumpkins!' This is such a quick, fun project for fall. Cut a piece of denim twice as long as it is wide (mine is 8 x 16 inches). Put the wrong sides together and do a running stitch along the bottom. Turn the right sides out, stuff them with fiberfill and do another running stitch around the top to close. Cinch tight, tie it off and hot glue a stick from the yard for a stem. Lastly, use fine jute and a doll needle through the center of the pumpkin to create the 'veins. This will give your pumpkin a realistic look."
Neutral Fall Porch
SHAWNA LIAO, WILLOW BLOOM HOME
"For my fall front porch décor, I wanted a mostly neutral look with just a couple pops of color. The muted orange raffia pumpkin and fall mums stand out beside the white mums and grasses. I included a variety of textures to keep the look interesting, with pots made of different materials and oak leaves tucked under the planters."
