The battery-operated Ryobi inflator is lightweight and a tad bigger than a handheld drill. It has a 20-in. air hose and a digital readout for accurate pressure settings. Included are fittings for Presta valves on bike tires, a needle for athletic equipment, and an adapter for pool toys and camping sleep pads. When not in use, the fittings store in the handle.
I tested the inflator on a snowblower, wheelbarrow, motorcycle, basketball, pool toy, and our cars and bicycles. It performed well but struggled to fill high-pressure truck and road bike tires. I let the air out of a 31-in. truck tire to see if the inflator could handle it. It did, but it took almost 11 minutes, with a cool-down break every few minutes and a battery change halfway through. For high-pressure Presta valves found on bikes, the issue has more to do with the attachment; a $2 Presta aluminum valve attachment from a bike shop solved the problem.
At less than $40, the Ryobi One+ inflator is a great value if you already use the One+ battery platform. A battery and charger cost about $60. Find it online and at The Home Depot.&nbsp;
