2 "Embrace an awkwardly shaped room
'Our house is at the end of a cul-de-sac, which translates as lots of crazy angles. The kitchen layout, however, makes good use of the space. L-shaped units divide it from the breakfast room in the extension, which we altered when we moved in."
BUY THE KEY PIECES
Bespoke teak cabinet and unit fronts, price on request, David Marsh Furniture. Walls in India Yellow modern emulsion, £63 for 2.5ltr, Farrow & Ball
3 "When we moved in the extension wasn't as exciting"
'The breakfast room originally had two small windows, but we wanted a large one and we couldn't afford a brand-new kitchen, so changed the cupboard fronts. Renovating had its challenges. There's no rear access, so everything had to come through the front door or be craned in from our neighbour's garden behind."
