IN THIS WORLD’S EVER-CHANGING environment and society, adaptibilty is one of the most prominent aspects that leads to the success and continuation of life. Louis Vuitton visualises a world where nothing goes unprepared for danger and the unknown. Hence, for its Pre-Fall 2023 collection, the Maison seeks inspiration in one of the most hostile terrains on Earth – the Sahara desert – and incorporates the notion of adaptability in two parts of its collection.
PART I: THE DESERT
In the first segment of the collection, Louis Vuitton showcases styles that include motifs of the desert, expressing it with a twist of savoir faire. In the name of adaptability, the collection is intentionally designed to be transformable and adaptable to the urban environment, from its outerwear to its shoes and accessories.
Aware of the weather’s growing unpredictability, the collection’s technical pieces are tailored to be lightweight yet practical. A prime example would be its versatile and waterproof zip-adorned trousers and tops that could be transformed into shorts and short-sleeved shirts with hoods, giving ample freedom to its wearer to switch up their style throughout the day.
