In the expansive universe of Nintendo’s gaming repertoire, Pikmin might not occupy the same grand stage as its renowned counterparts like Super Mario or The Legend of Zelda.

Yet, since its debut on the Nintendo GameCube more than two decades ago, this endearing strategy-puzzle franchise has consistently delivered remarkable titles. Now, with the advent of Pikmin 4, the series makes a triumphant return to the gaming landscape after a decade-long hiatus, finding its new home on the Nintendo Switch. Pikmin 4 upholds the beloved lineage of the series while injecting a novel narrative twist from the very outset. Departing from the series’ conventional focus on Captain Olimar, the charismatic protagonist, this instalment casts the spotlight on the Captain’s dire need for rescue. Stranded on an Earth-like terrain, Olimar’s SOS beacon triggers a daring mission by the Rescue Corps. However, the would-be rescuers find themselves trapped on the remote planet as well. It falls upon the player, a fresh recruit of the Rescue Corps, to navigate the unknown and recover both the missing rescuers and Captain Olimar.

Besides the Pikmin at your disposal, you also have a new companion dog we mean Oatachi.
