FRENCH COMPANY FOCAL has launched its new Vestia line of loudspeakers comprising five models featuring the brand's exclusive Slatefiber cone and tilted stands. Vestia N°2, Vestia N°3 and Vestia N°4 are floorstanding models; Vestia N°1 is a bookshelf loudspeaker for small spaces; and Vestia Center is a centre channel speaker for home cinema setups. Apparently inspired by Vesta and Hestia - goddesses of hearth and home - the speakers come with Black High Gloss, Dark Wood or Light Wood side panels, with a black or white leather effect front.
The aforementioned Slatefiber cone is made from recycled carbon fibres and Focal has also chosen a 25mm 'M'-shaped dome TAM tweeter for the treble. Initially developed for its car collection, this exclusive tweeter has been revamped to work for hi-fi speakers, and now makes its first appearance in products for the home. The speakers also feature a port at the front for more forward impact and a rear port for what the company describes as an encompassing bass.
