QUEENSLAND MUM ANDREA IS CALLING FOR AN END TO THE HAZARD THAT CLAIMED HER DAUGHTER'S LIFE
BUTTON BATTERIES to be BANNED!

Andrea Shoesmith is on a mission to save lives. The Queensland mum is fighting to ban button batteries - more than a decade on from losing her beautiful daughter Summer, four, who died after swallowing a battery in 2013.

With an estimated 20 children presenting to hospital emergency departments across Australia each week suspected of having swallowed a button battery, for Andrea, it's a fight she's not willing to give up.

"I will continue to fight until they are gone. Just don't buy them, it's that simple!" Andrea, 52, tells New Idea.

"I would not wish this hollow pain that will last the rest of my life on anyone."
