JonBenet Ramsey's murder - SHOCK DNA TWIST EMERGES

Police investigating the 26-year murder of childhood beauty pageant queen JonBenét Ramsey could finally be one step closer to catching her killer.

A police insider has told US news website The Messenger that “there are several people on the radar … new persons of interest.

“And we are seeing if any of them are the key to solving this case. Time will tell if we get the answers we need. This is a marathon, not a sprint.”

The body of six-year-old JonBenét was discovered by her father, John, on December 26, 1996, in the basement of the family’s home in Boulder, Colorado.

Duct tape had been placed over her mouth and a cord wrapped around her neck.

An autopsy determined JonBenét was killed by strangulation and a skull fracture. At the time, the girl’s death was ruled a homicide, but no-one has been charged for her killing.
