TIP

Try a non-cook salad and replace pork with shredded roasted chicken meat for a change.

SERVES 4 PREP COOK 20 MINS 

500g packet pork sirloin steaks 

2 tblsps teriyaki sauce

Toasted sesame seeds, sliced red chilli and lime wedges, to serve

ASIAN NOODLE SALAD

200g packet Pad Thai rice noodles

1 small Lebanese cucumber

315g packet Thai Style

Salad Kit

1 cup fresh coriander leaves 

DRESSING

2 tblsps teriyaki sauce

2 tblsps honey

2 tblsps lime juice

2 tsps sesame oil

1 Brush pork with teriyaki sauce.

2 Heat an oiled, barbecue grill plate over medium to high heat. Add pork. Cook for 6 minutes. Turn. Cook for a further 2 minutes, or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Cover loosely with foil. Rest 2 minutes. Slice diagonally.

3 Meanwhile, to make salad, cook noodles according to packet directions. Drain. Rinse under cold water. Drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Roughly cut into pieces using kitchen scissors.

4 Cut cucumber in half lengthways. Remove seed with a teaspoon. Thinly slice. Prepare salad kit according to packet directions. Reserving dressing from packet for another use. Add salad kit to noodles with cucumber and coriander. Toss well.

5 To make dressing, combine all ingredients in a small jug.
