THE FALLEN STAR’S DEATH DIDN’T ELICIT MUCH SYMPATHY

After 30 years of infamy, the almost universal feeling around O.J. Simpson’s recent death was perhaps most succinctly summarised by his former friend, Caitlyn Jenner. She simply wrote on social media, “Good riddance”.

Yet O.J.’s demise on April 10 aged 76, after a prolonged battle with prostate cancer, unleashed unwanted attention on the now-adult children he shared with slain wife Nicole Brown Simpson. The former Buffalo Bills NFL superstar was controversially acquitted of killing Nicole, 35, in 1995.

Since their mother was fatally stabbed at her Los Angeles home on June 12, 1994, alongside her friend Ron Goldman, Sydney and Justin Simpson have steered clear of the spotlight.

In 2019, Sydney’s ex-boyfriend Stuart Lee told RadarOnline that she was a “really good girl” with “a good head on her shoulders”. They’d met at Boston University before moving to Atlanta where Sydney, now 38, worked in real estate and as an events coordinator.
