In a race against time, precise timekeeping is key in determining the champion. We take a look at how watch brands have contributed to the world of sports for decades.
RACING WITH TIME

ROLEX

From land to sea, Rolex watches can be found accompanying the greatest in motor sports and yacht racing. Since 2001, Rolex has been the Official Partner and Official Timepiece of the endurance-focused sports car race 24 Hours of Le Mans. Celebrating the event's centenary, Rolex will be rewarding the winners for this year's race with an Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona. Tom Kristensen, Rolex Testimonee since 2010 and the most decorated driver of the race with nine victories, is the ambassador for the centenary edition. As for yachting, Rolex has forged links with the sport since 1958. Rolex partnered with SailGP as the exclusive Official Timepiece since 2019. Kicking off SailGP Season 4 on the 16th and 17th of this month, held at Navy Pier in Chicago, is the Rolex United States Sail Grand Prix.

CHOPARD

Chopard's name is synonymous with the 1000 Miglia, having been world sponsor and official timekeeper of the historic car race for 35 years. Another milestone for the brand is its appointment as the official partner of the inaugural edition of the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE race. A first in the Middle East, it was held in Dubai last December, where Chopard and partner Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons launched the limited edition Mille Miglia Experience UAE timepiece. Meanwhile, for the 1000 Miglia 2022, Chopard unveiled Mille Miglia 2022 Race Editions, a pair of stunning red and black watches.
