The Divide by Zero Collection collection was born out of my innate curiosity to understand the power of art. Since I was a child, I've been curious about why artistic expressions evoke certain emotions and thoughts. Over time, I decided to turn that curiosity into a meaningful purpose in my life.
Through the collection, I aim to showcase diverse art pieces from around the world that offer unique insights into societal transformations. The collection represents a culmination of extensive research, consultation and curation from various cultures and genres. By bringing together a wide range of art forms, it offers a deeper appreciation of the beauty and complexity of human expression.
I believe the true value of collecting lies beyond mere investment. In my experience, collecting art is a journey of self-exploration, which starts with asking why one wants to collect in the first place. The answer to this question becomes the driving force behind the collection, and any action that follows should support that initiative. Every collector has their own valid reasons for collecting, such as for aesthetics, social capital or intellectual/emotional stimulation.
As a new investor, it can be tempting to focus solely on the potential financial returns when building an art collection, but I believe the true value of collecting lies beyond the price tag. Ultimately, the most important thing is to collect art that speaks to you on a personal or cultural level. So I encourage new collectors to start with their own passions and curiosities and let the art guide them on a fulfilling journey of self-exploration.
