A COSMOPOLITAN DANDY

Occupying the premium premise of the former China Club, Sushisamba Singapore has injected a night out in the city with an edgy, cosmopolitan vibe on par with that of world capitals. The space atop Capitol Tower is stunning, thanks to wrap-around, floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for 360-degree views of the city from the 52nd floor. There's also an overarching 3D-printed bamboo installation that provides a pseudo canopy and a ceiling so high it can only manifest decadence. It's obvious that owner-operator Sunset Hospitality Group, which has a portfolio of over 80 venues in 22 countries, including Sushisamba Dubai, has sunk serious money into this venture, the first Sushisamba in Asia Pacific.

Combining Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian influences in cuisine and culture, the 12,000sqft Sushisamba Singapore will no doubt appeal to the jet-set, the stylish young and the power brokers. Three private dining rooms provide intimate gathering spaces for up to 12 people and are furthermore kitted out with AV equipment for small corporate events. A blink-and-you'll-miss stairway takes guests up to the Samba Room, complete with its own bar and DJ booth for private parties.
