One day everything is going fine and within hours or the next day your life, moods, and emotions can turn upside down temporarily or permanently by various people or changes in the economy, politics, etc. You can find yourself facing a challenging situation that shakes you and your dear ones to the core. Wake-up calls can come in several shapes and forms. For example, they could be unexpected job loss, deaths, accidents, health crises, end of relationships, backstabbing by trusted ones, and so on. Whatever the type, wake-up calls are uncomfortable, painful, and inevitable. But they also offer an opportunity for growth, change, and acceptance.
The first step in responding to a wake-up call is to accept it. It's natural for everyone to deny or avoid the situation, but that only prolongs the distress and delays the inevitable change. But if you accept the reality of the situation, you can assess the root cause and take action.
