She enters the studio in a pale blue Gucci suit, apologising to everyone on the set for having to work on a Sunday to make this month’s cover shoot happen. Three hours earlier, she effortlessly worked the camera for another pictorial for Tatler, donning a variety of sultry pieces from the famed Italian house’s pre-fall 2024 collection. “I am so sorry. You should have been enjoying this day with your family, but instead, you’re here taking care of me. I appreciate your time,” Bea Alonzo tells the production team. Such a reaction is no surprise; the actor values family above all else.
Alonzo exudes a peaceful aura during the interview, further enhanced by the calming shade of blue she is wearing—a departure from the emotional roller-coaster she had to endure early this year amidst one of the most challenging times in her life: her breakup with then-fiancé, Dominic Roque. Alonzo says, “I saw myself marrying this man. But sometimes, things don’t go according to plan. Sometimes God’s plan is better, and I have learnt to embrace that.” The couple had been dating since November 2019 and got engaged in July last year; they broke off the engagement in January 2024 and made it public in midFebruary with a joint statement.
