Among the country’s top creative minds, Kenneth Cobonpue has become a household name both locally and internationally. Hailing from Cebu, Cobonpue designs and manufactures furniture pieces which have become artistic statements. His journey towards success began in 1987 when he travelled to New York to study Industrial Design at the Pratt Institute. His skill continued to grow as he took on apprenticeships and learning opportunities in Europe, studying leather and woodwork craftsmanship and even furniture marketing and production.
Following his education, Cobonpue returned to the Philippines in 1996, where his passion grew as he began to manage a furniture design and manufacturing company founded by his mother, Betty. One, then, may say that Cobonpue’s creativity is in his DNA.
