The bustling city of Makati is home to a flourishing gastronomy scene, with innumerable additions popping up every year. One particular name that has been creating a buzz since opening in February is Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse and Bar, a Tokyo-born establishment founded by chef Matthew Crabbe, Nathan Smith and Edward Baffoe. Friends and collaborators since working at a hotel many years ago, the trio employs the hands-on management and meticulous care for the brand which is the mark of the restaurant’s flagship address in Japan; they bring this now to the only other existing branch in the world–at The Shops at Ayala Triangle Gardens.
