The heritage of The St. Regis Singapore, which is synonymous with luxury and celebrations, has always been rooted in the spirit of New York socialite Caroline Astor, the matriarch of the St. Regis brand's founding family. During the Gilded Age in the late 1800s, she ruled the scene with her legendary parties and balls that gathered the city's most influential and powerful figures under one roof, and saw long wait lists of folks who wanted a peek into this prestigious society. It is the hotel brand's reputation built over centuries of throwing the most lavish and extraordinary events that makes The St. Regis Singapore the choicest wedding venue for many couples in Singapore-myself and my partner included.
From my initial consultation with Christine Wang, the hotel's assistant director of events who has been helping couples plan their dream weddings at The St. Regis Singapore for more than a decade, it is evident that bespoke service is built into the core of each and every staff member. You won't hear of any bridezillas at The St. Regis Singapore, as each couple gets a dedicated bridal assistant who will ensure that everything is taken care of on the big day-"We're one of the first hotels to offer the butler service for couples," Wang shares. Speaking of the big day, she asks us what kind of wedding we have in mind, to which we reply: "A small wedding for about 100 guests that combines Asian and Western cultures, from the food down to the design."
