What You Need To Know
1. As in the PRS? I thought they only made guitars…
And amps, of course. But no pedals until now. These three are the Maryland brand’s first foray into a rather different world.
2. Why start now?
Paul Reed Smith says the pedals idea came about when the musicians recording in his home studio were looking for tones and textures that they couldn’t get straight from the guitar – and so they started building devices with the help of some friends. That led to the first pedal prototypes and the decision to offer them to more players.
3. Just three pedals, though?
There are possibly more to come. To quote Paul: “I think these first three designs are the start of something very cool”
