From September 15-21, the Fworld-renowned opera competition Operalia will make its historic debut in India, hosted by the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai. This marks the first time in the competition's 30-year history that it will be held in South Asia. Founded by legendary tenor Plácido Domingo in 1993, Operalia has been instrumental in discovering and nurturing young opera talent from around the globe. The choice of Mumbai as the venue underscores the city's growing significance as a cultural hub and the NCPA's commitment to promoting global artistic exchange.
