Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah is set to distribute scholarships to approximately 11 lakh students under two educational schemes—the 'Namo Laxmi Yojana' and 'Namo Saraswati Vigyan Sadhana Yojana'—on Tuesday. The distribution ceremony will take place at Kadi Sarva Vidyalaya Campus in Gandhinagar in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, education minister Kuber Dindor and state parliamentary affairs minister Praful Pansheriya.Will open national conferenceShah will also inaugurate a national conference of Civil Defences and Home Guards on Tuesday. He will address the legislative Assembly as part of a day-long "Legislative Drafting Training Workshop" for assembly secretariat officials and attend different events.He is scheduled to address a gathering in Anand town to mark the diamond jubilee celebration of the National Dairy Development Board and the birth anniversary of Tribhuvandas Patel, the father of the cooperative movement in India. Shah will inaugurate the office of the BJP's Gandhinagar city unit in the state capital.He will inaugurate the "14th National Conference of Civil Defence and Home Guards" at the Mahatma Mandir convention centre at 4 pm. The Ahmedabad unit has organised a food distribution programme at the Blind People's Association and 'Maha-Aaarti' at Lord Jagannath Temple on the occasion of Shah's birthday on Tuesday.
