A HOST of abbreviations sweeping the nation are leaving Brits confused, with no idea what "Savvy B", "Panny D" and "Jackie P" mean.

Oldies have a 'Menty B' over Gen Z's lingo

Research found that most people over 50 are in the dark about the phrases being increasingly used by millennials and Gen Z.

And 45% of all ages admit being in the dark over abbreviations such as "Holijobs" (holiday work), "Cozzie Livs" (cost of living) and "Banny Hols" (bank holiday).

Slang

It is even baffling tourists and has led to calls for new phrase books to be made to deal with the problem.

And research by tour company Evan Evans found a even third of millennials find the phrases confusing.
