GERMAN prosecutors yesterday identified the man suspected of carrying out a knife attack at a festival that killed three people and injured eight, four seriously.

The Syrian national named only as Issa AI H, is accused of being a "member of a terrorist organisation abroad".

He allegedly shares the "ideology of Islamic State".

The asylum seeker, 26, handed himself in during a massive hunt by police. He faces three counts of murder along with charges of attempted murder and causing dangerous bodily harm.
