Iona Winnifrith came second in the SB7 100m breaststroke and was pipped by Russia's Mariia Pavlova, 25, who broke her own world record to take gold.
The youngster from Tonbridge, Kent, has a form of skeletal dysplasia which causes short stature and short limbs and has been swimming since the age of five.
Iona said: "Of course I wanted gold but I'm super happy."
