St Andrews is Rory's ideal place for peace

RORY MCILROY says there is no better place than Andrews to bring divided parties together.

And he has boldly predicted golf's peace deal could be sealed by the end of this year.

Mcllroy will play alongside PGA Tour chief Jay Monahan governor Yasir and PIF Al-Rumayyan at this week's Dunhill Links pro-am event.

It was Al-Rumayyan who set up the LIV breakaway series that split the game.

Talks are ongoing for an agreement to bring golf back together, and the sight of the pair in the same group adds hope that things are moving in the right direction.

McIlroy believes they have the perfect setting for more positive discussions.
