Starmer's 'tin-eared pylons plan will lead to bigger bills'

CAMPAIGNERS have accused Sir Keir Starmer of being "tin-eared" over his plans for pylons across swathes of the countryside.

They have slammed the Prime Minister for throwing their regions "under a bus" with his proposals.

Rosie Pearson, founder of Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk Pylons campaign group, said: "Embarrassingly, Starmer does not even understand that modern undergrounding, known as High-Voltage Direct Current, is cheaper than pylons.

"His refusal to try to understand the issues is deeply frustrating.
