DAME Esther Rantzen has urged Keir Starmer to make time in Parliament for a free vote on assisted suicide.

The Childline founder has terminal cancer and has signed up with the Dignitas organisation.

Before he entered No.10, the Prime Minister pledged his support for a law change in a conversation with Dame Esther.
