FAST-STARTING Leeds went joint-top after making the most of Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann's two howlers.
Daniel Farke's side were 2-0 ahead in just seven minutes.
It is the quickest they have enjoyed a two-goal lead in a league game since Mark Viduka's brace against West Ham on New Year's Day 2002.
And embarrassed Bachmann would have been forgiven for thinking he was dusting off a New Year's Eve hangover here.
There should have been no danger at all when Largie Ramazani arrowed in a rightfooted shot from the left corner of the penalty box on four minutes. But the experienced Austria international somehow let the shot at head height - slip through his grasp (below).
