CHILDREN under 16 could be officially recorded as victims of domestic violence after the Holly Newton case, the Home Secretary has said.

Holly was 15 when she was murdered by jealous ex Logan MacPhail. Because of her age, the legal system did not consider her to be a victim of domestic abuse.

Her mum and stepdad, Micala and Lee Trussler, are calling for the law to be changed so under16s can be recognised as being the targets of domestic violence.
