JAY MUM: WE HAVE TO TRUST THE COPS

THE mum of missing teenager Jay Slater yesterday said she is no closer to finding out what happened to him 16 days since he disappeared.

Heartbroken Debbie Duncan, 55, spoke after spending two-and-a-half hours talking to police at a station in Las Americas district, Tenerife.

With Jay's dad Warren, 58, by her side, Debbie said: "It's a mystery and he's still missing. We don't know anything about the investigation. We're leaving it to the police. Let's keep it going, keep it alive.

"Let them [the police] get on with it, we've got to trust in these people."
