GOLDEN GIRL Keely Hodgkinson had not yet finished her lap of honour.
But in a clammy room at Stade de France, her coaches were already discussing the future for Britain's latest Olympic champion.
The women's 800m world record is the track's longest surviving set by Jarmila Kratochvilova in 1983 - but Trevor Painter and Jenny Meadows are convinced Hodgkinson can eclipse the Czech runner's 1:53.28.
There was no hint of arrogance about their hopes for the 22-yearold, just an awareness of her unique talent.
"She has always said, quite shyly, she wants to be one of the greatest ever," Meadows said.
