ENGLAND'S Cole Palmer was just four when his sublime skills caught the eye of his junior football coach.

The Chelsea star, 22, made a huge impact as a substitute during England's 2-1 victory over Slovakia on Sunday.

He scored 22 goals and laid on 11 more in 34 league games last season.

And Graeme Fowler had no doubt the talented lad playing for NJ Wythenshawe was destined for the top.

He said: "He was polite, respectful, he just loved playing football.
