LIVERPOOL gave a 45-minute glimpse at Portman Road of life after Jurgen Klopp.
New boss Arne Slot made it clear pre-season that his approach was more Dutch calm than Klopp chaos - and the second half at Ipswich, after a desperate opening period, hinted that his players are welcoming the transition.
Slot asks his team to play shorter passes from the back and work their way up the pitch. In the first half it led to mistakes and fouls. The Reds, a yard short, committed 13 in the first half against the Premier League new boys, their most in the opening 45 minutes of a Premier League game since 2009.
But the foul count dropped in the second half when Liverpool grew much more composed on the ball.
Ryan Gravenberch (below) helped in that regard.
