Posh can fight back from poor start to be in the mix says skipper Fernandez

MANNY FERNANDEZ has backed his Peterborough side to put their poor start behind them and make it a hattrick of top-six finishes.

And the defender reckons a much smaller points tally will be good enough this season.

Posh have been agonisingly close to a return to the Championship in the last two years.

They are 12th in League One now with just 15 points from 11 matches, with many of their rivals playing two fewer games.

But Fernandez, who took the captain's armband at the age of just 22 on Saturday, remains confident, even though he does not believe their tally of 84 points last season or 77 the one beforehand will be necessary.
