THE British teenager who had sex with a 17-year-old girl in Dubai is starting a one-year jail term after handing himself in to authorities.
Marcus Fakana, 18, was visiting the United Arab Emirates with his family in August when he had a week-long, consensual romance.
He is now being held at the tough al-Awir prison, on the outskirts of Dubai.
In a message posted before entering the jail, he wrote: "Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout my fight.
