Stokes says Wood can hit 100mph, but happy just to see the wickets tumble

BEN STOKES says he is not bothered if Mark Wood clocks a ton because he is happy with the quickie's current fast show.

England's skipper believes his Durham team-mate could smash the 100mph barrier in future "if everything clicks".

Wood fired up Trent Bridge when the speed gun picked up one of his deliveries at 97.1mph, with centurion Kavem Hodge jokingly telling him, "Hey, I've got a wife and kids at home you know", after one ferocious ball.

The West Indies confirmed that another Wood delivery had cracked the wrist of spinner Kevin Sinclair, ruling him out of the final Test.

Asked about breaking three figures, rather than bones, Stokes said: "Woody seems to be getting closer and closer. I'm happy with what he's doing.
