STEVE BORTHWICK insists his England have nothing to hide and players are free to speak their minds in camp - unlike previous regimes.

Former scrum-half Danny Care lifted the lid on life under Borthwick's predecessor Eddie Jones in a new book, describing the environment as toxic and like living in a dictatorship.

Borthwick was Jones' assistant with England from 2016 to 2019 but revealed players can challenge him and he operates an open-door policy.
