THE Prince of Wales says he has no other agenda than "desperately trying to help" people through his bold plan to end homelessness.In a short clip from a forthcoming ITV documentary about his ambitious project, Homewards, William tells of how he views I F his royal role as influencing where he can.The future king was quizzed about critics who might question whether he is the right person to lead the initiative, which is designed to eradicate homelessness in six locations.<img src="https://cdn.magzter.com/1583503328/1729126081/articles/UEgCj4CTw1729140638859/2212252517.jpg" alt="image">William, 42, replied: "Everyone having a right to a safe and stable home benefits us all. I come with no other agenda than desperately trying to help people who are in need. And I see that as part of my role, why else would I be here if I'm not using this role properly to influence and help people where I can?" He previously revealed plans to build 24 homes in Nansledan, Newquay, on Duchy of Cornwall land.On battling homelessness, the prince said: "I like a big challenge... but I can't do it on my own." He was followed for the TV show during the first year of his Homewards project.The six locations are Newport, Lambeth, Belfast, Aberdeen, Sheffield and the Dorset towns of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.Last night, William spoke at the Centrepoint Awards, which recognise young people who have turned their lives around after being homeless.Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, October 30 and 31, 9pm, ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
