2 CRASH TRUCKER WAS ON WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD

A CONFUSED HGV driver sped along the wrong side of a dual carriageway at nearly 60mph.

Bernard Blair drove his 50-ton lorry nearly six miles while it was snowing and dark before causing two other motorists to crash.

A court heard Blair had been stopped by another trucker to warn him he was on the wrong carriageway – then drove off again in the wrong direction.

Blair, 59, from Motherwell, was banned from driving for 18 months and placed under a curfew from 8pm to 6am for four months.
