FAMILIES could save up to £1000 a year on food through changes such as eating leftovers and not letting things go off in the fridge, zero waste campaigners have said.

Zero Waste Scotland (ZWS) is urging people to cut food waste to help save the planet as part of a new sustainable living drive.
