HIGH SPEED COKE KING IS CAGED

A DRUGS kingpin who fled from police at high speed after he was snared in an undercover operation has been jailed.

Martin Murphy, 45, was clocked by cops at the Glasgow Fort shopping centre in April 2020 in a drugs handover. As he was pursued on the M8, Murphy tossed the package believed to contain cocaine worth £90,000 from the window of his Range Rover.

He was eventually exposed by police for his involvement in drug deals worth hundreds of thousands of pounds following the cracking of the EncroChat messaging system.

The platform, favoured by criminals, was intercepted by French law enforcement in April 2020.
