Lowland outfit storm into last four with stunning win over Broonie's Honest Men
KILBY WALK ON AYR

EAST KILBRIDE stunned Championship promotion hopefuls Ayr in a thrilling K-Park quarter-final.

The Lowland League leaders threatened to blow a two-goal lead but Kilby stormed back to deservedly make the last four.

Ayr boss Scott Brown named his strongest possible line-up with Harry Stone deputising for the cup-tied Liam Russell in goal.

But the on-loan Hearts man endured a horror start as his error led to an opener inside 60 seconds.

His clearance went straight to the home side and winger John Robertson fired home a brilliant low finish from the edge of the box.

Worse was to follow for Ayr as they fell two behind inside the opening 12 minutes.
