TEARFUL Luke Littler turned a childhood dream to teenage reality as the 17-year-old became the King of Darts.
The superstar smashed Dutch master Michael van Gerwen in last night's final to claim the World Championship crown.
Littler's stunning performance saw him average more than 102, reinforcing his dominance in the biggest match of his career.
And his stunning 7-3 victory over the veteran in north London means the Runcorn kid has also become the youngest ever winner of the PDC title.
Littler's incredible rise in the game started at the Ally Pally 12 months ago when, as a relatively unknown boy going into the tournament, he emerged from it a man and new sporting superstar having made the showpiece before losing out to Luke Humphries.
The teenager's remarkable rise has captured the imagination of fans worldwide, with many calling him the sport's future.
Since then, he's racked up 10 PDC titles and won more than £1million in prize money.
He added another £500,000 to the pot as, this time around in the biggest match in the game, he made absolutely no mistake and swept to the Sid Waddell Trophy.
