A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of missing mum-of-three Khasha Smith.
John Byrne, 39, was also charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice as he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.
He made no plea or declaration.
Khasha has been missing since October 10 last year. The last known sighting of her was on a FaceTime call with a family member.
She has not been seen or heard from since. Last week, police said that following inquiries, the mum, 35, is believed to be dead.
