A River City star rained punches on a woman and spat on her during a brawl at his mum's birthday party.
Brian Leys, who played Ash in the BBC Scotland soap opera, was found guilty of attacking Shannon Devine during a rammy at a Dundee social club.
The city's sheriff court was told that a row broke out at the party which ended with Leys battering Shannon in front of her family.
Leys, 41, of Dundee, was found guilty of assaulting Shannon, spitting on her head, throwing a drink at her, causing it to strike her head and body, and lunging towards her before repeatedly punching her on the head.
Shannon, 28, told the court: I heard Brian screaming at my sister. I went back to ask him to stop. He was leaning over the table screaming in her face.
He seemed to think we were talking about him. When we were asking him to calm down, he spat in my face, threw a drink at me and flew over the table on top of me.
