SIMO VALAKARI insists he's removing emotion from his Motherwell return and focusing solely on St Johnstone's needs.

The Saints boss is back at Fir Park tomorrow for the first time since 2000. He left for Derby after a three-and-a-half year spell when he became a Well fans' favourite.

Valakari was also in the frame for the manager's job at the Steelmen in 2017 before Stephen Robinson landed the gig.

And he's always spoken fondly of the club's massive influence on his career.
